You might have been there before — digging through the bottom of your purse for change or rifling through your billfold hoping to find enough bills to pay for your purchase. Sometimes we may end up down on our luck if for only a bit, but others just can’t seem to catch a break.

A group of young men, comedians by profession, noticed something was off about a woman pumping gas near them. Carlos Davis and his friends are not just funny guys, but have a serious, compassionate side, too, which they recently revealed.

One of the guys spied the woman struggling to pay for her gas. All she had with her was pennies.

He instinctively knew something was wrong, but didn’t know what exactly. So he subtly pointed out her plight to his pals.

They decided to take care of the situation and ambush the flustered woman in order to pay for her gas! They recorded the interaction with the unsuspecting lady, not knowing just how impactful their gesture really would be.

Carlos gently approached the woman and offered her a handful of cash. She just stared blankly at him.

They explained that they’re comedians and their cash wasn’t “illegal.” They simply wanted to help her.

She was speechless, struggling to find the right words. Finally, she shared what was really going on.

“My husband just died a week ago. We weren’t like this before. I didn’t ask nobody for nothing. I didn’t… I didn’t even ask you…”

Her eyes seemed to be swollen from tears, and the guys struggled to hold back their own when they heard her story. They tried reassuring her.

“You okay. We got love for you. This is for you.”
The men insisted that kind souls must “take care of each other.” When she asked how they knew she was having difficulty, they explained that they watched her pay for her gas with pennies, which signaled that something must be amiss.

She expressed her faith in God, noting that He really was looking out for her. In good times and bad.

“I guess He does look down… He says He’s watching you and watching you –”
Carlos agreed: “He’s definitely watching over you.”

So many people who have viewed the video below can’t believe how sweet it is. They applauded Carlos and his friends for stepping up and helping out.

One parent commented, “I hope that my son grows up to resemble these men.” Another user commented,”That’s love. The rest of America needs to keep this same energy so we can all get back to a better space.”
