Bishop Curry isn’t like other kids his age. Instead of spending his time with friends, 10-year-old Bishop uses every second of free time on a project that can save countless lives. Bishop’s invention has to do with babies overheating while strapped in a car seat during blistering summer temperatures – and it’s absolutely genius.

The brilliant young man calls his invention “Oasis” and he’s raised more than $20,000 on GoFundMe so far. A small square device is placed on the headrest in front of a child and once a certain internal temperature is hit, the device starts to blow cold air. Not only does it lower car temperatures, but it also has the ability to call authorities to the scene and reach out to parents.
Bishop told Fox News that the inspriation for the invention came from an incident that happened close to his Texas home, “When a baby named Fern lost her down the street (from a hot car), I came up with the idea because it was on the news and everything.” Now Bishop is determined to stop that from ever happening again! Learn more about Bishop’s incredible Oasis device by pressing “play” on the video below. Hopefully these devices will prevent children from passing in the future!
